In this episode we welcome the fabulous Frida Hoffman-Clark, founder and designer of bridal label KLADEK on to The Aisle-conic podcast. KLADEK was born out of Frida’s own experience of the wedding dress journey, one in which she struggled to find a beautifully crafted, customisable look for the aisle that suited her own personal style. As a relatively new designer to the industry, we took the opportunity to ask her everything from what its been like launching a label to how she’s stayed true to her creative vision while adapting to industry trends and customer demands.
The questions we’ve asked this episode…
What inspired you to start your own label, and how did you find your unique point of view in the bridal industry?
How have your experiences outside of the bridal industry shaped your approach to fashion design?
What has been the most exciting part of launching your label so far?
As someone new to the industry, what challenges have you encountered, and how have you overcome them?
How do you stay true to your creative vision while adapting to industry trends and customer demands?
What is one piece of advice you would give to other aspiring designers starting out in bridal fashion?
What excites you most about the future of bridal fashion, and how do you see your label contributing to that?
What role does sustainability or ethical design play in your work, and how do you balance creativity with responsibility?
What are your short-term and long-term goals for your label, and how do you plan to achieve them?

Barcelona, NYBFW or London - which should you be attending if you’re a brand?
In this episode (which lands just as NYBFW kicks off) we’re talking about the differences between the well renowned shows and what buyers and designers should be considering when visiting or signing up. Do you need to be heading to them all? Or is it best to pinpoint one? Luckily for you, The Aisle-conic Podcast co-host Cathleen has quite a lot of experience in this area, having previously worked for the bridal portfolios of One Fine Day Bridal Market as well as attending - as a designer - One Fine Day and White Gallery in London. So, we’re asking her the questions this episode.
The questions we’ve asked this episode…
What are the main differences between some of the most well-known bridal shows, like NYBFW, Barcelona and White Gallery in London?
How does the atmosphere and buyer-designer interaction differ across these bridal markets?
What should designers be prioritizing when preparing for NYBFW or similar events?
What are some common misconceptions designers have about bridal fashion markets?
What trends have you noticed emerging from bridal markets over the years, and how should designers balance trends with their brand identity?
Can you share some tips on how to effectively follow up with stockists or buyers after an event like NYBFW to secure long-term partnerships?
